Braindump

Seit dem Update auf Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard konnte  ich nicht mehr beidseitig drucken. Eigentlich ein Frust, denn früher brachte ich 8 Handouts auf ein Blatt Papier. Nun hab ich nochmals gegoogelt und jlll hatte die rettende Lösung auf dem Apple Forum gepostet.

Today I have downloaded de image “LJ_1022_Series_OSX.dmg” from hp:

which contains an old version of the driver (the one released 2006-04-27).

Before installing the package, I have deleted the printer in System Preferences > Printer. Then, I have deleted manually (via Terminal) all the files in my system which are present on the package (I have used Pacifist to see them):

$ sudo rm /Library/Frameworks/libZJBIG.dylib

$ sudo rm -rf /Library/Printers/hp/laserjet/1020Series/

I have installed the package and then I have installed the printer again in System Preferences. When prompted to chose the driver I have selected “HP LaserJet 1022″ from the menu instead of “HP LaserJet 1022, 1.1.0.182″ or “HP LaserJet 1022 – Gutenprint v5.2.3″.

And now everything works fine again (like it did on Leopard), even duplex printing!

PS: Yes, I know that deleting system files manually is not “the right way of doing things”, but today I have a working printer… (siehe Anmerkung… ;-o )

Wieder mal typisch. HP kriegt es nicht auf die Reihe die Hausaufgaben zu machen. Wenigstens gibt es im Gegensatz zum HP Laserjet 1600 einen Treiber für den Mac. Wir wollen ja von HP nicht zuviel erwarten, sonst hätte ich nichts mehr für meinen Blog.
